Songs/Artists you may not have heard of, but should oughta have on your iPod

Heres some music and bands you may not have heard of, that do it just right...in my opinion. In no particular order and Ill add to the list as I find things. If you know of something that I may not, please turn me on to it, ok?
(and a thanks to miss kimmeh for her help)

Big Wreck - The Oaf

I apologize for the crappy video. Big Wreck is a band from 90s Canada that seems to have missed us here in the states. Which might be a good thing, as I can see radio playing the hell out of this and ruining it.
-2 albums-
In Loving Memory Of...
The Pleasure and the Greed

These United States
This is a band that only has its genre-defyingness to blame for not being more popular. Is it country? Is it rock? Who the eff cares, really. And whats that? A steel guitar? SHUT THE HELL UP!
-4 albums-
A Picture Of Us At The Gate Of The Garden Of Eden
Crimes
Everything Touches Everything
What Lasts

Inspector Cluzo

OMG, The Jackson 5 and Rage Against The Machine had a baby!
A very good friend of mine turned me on to these guys. Who knew a French guy could play the guitar like that? AND, who knew that same French guy could sing like a prepubescent Michael Jackson?
Then, they do stuff like this
Love it!

The Inspector Cluzo
French Bastards

Black Angels

These guys are in some genre referred to as "Shoegaze". I think thats a stupid name for a genre.

Directions To See A Ghost
Phosphene Dream

Hot One

Sorry there was no video. But this is one of my favorite finds. 'Get Your Priest On' is better than coffee when turned up to max volume and 'Daddy Was A Pilot' is the best song in the history of history.

Campfire Girls

I stumbled unto these guys and fell in love. Tell Them Hi is the album you need.

The Danks

Sorta like the Strokes, but different.
- 1 album -
Are You Afraid Of The Danks

Eagles Of Death Metal

I dont know how unknown these guys are, but I like em. Theyre non-pretentiousness has grown on me.

- 3 albums -
Peace, Love, Death Metal
Death By Sexy
Heart On

The Kills

Again, genre defying. Dig it
- 4 albums -
Keep On Your Mean Side
No Wow
Midnight Boom

Shadows Evolve

The Music

More genre-defying...all good.
- 3 albums -
The Music
Welcome To The North
Strength In Numbers

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club

Again, probably more well known than I might think. But man, what a video, eh?
- 6 albums -
B.R.M.C.
Take Them On, On Your Own
Howl
Baby 81
The Effects Of 333
Beat The Devil's Tattoo

The Radishes

These guys are bringing punk back. Theyll rock your eardrum's nuts off (*from their myspace page), but a worthy quote, no?

Good Machine

Hi!

I dont know why I felt it was necessary to create a blog. It seems so trendy, after all. I tend to be anti-trendy. Trendy generally means popular, and popular has become synonymous with bland. I mean, if theres something that multitudes of people can agree on, doesnt that mean that that something has to be so watered down so as to appeal to every kind of taste/opinion? Theres alot of tastes/opinions. So this is gonna be a place to display mine, I guess. Like them or dont.
I have strong opinions. I keep them to myself mostly. This will be a place to display them. My thoughts on politics, music and social stuff probably...I dunno, Ill try to mix it up, to keep it interesting. If you like something, please let me know...if not, please let me know, but lets keep it civil, mkay? So anyways, thanks for stopping by!
